MainStage guide

This guide helps you play OP-X PRO-3 in Apple MainStage which is a very cheap but yet professional live host.

1. In the Apple AppStore look for MainStage and buy plus install it. It costs just about $29:

https://www.apple.com/mainstage/

2. Download and install OP-X PRO-3 if you haven't yet.

Restart the computer afterwards.

3. Download this pre-configured concert file for MainStage which has OP-X PRO-3 set up ready for playing:

OPXPRO3_MainStage.zip

4. Put the "Play OP-X PRO-3" file the downloaded zip contains to this place on your hd:

Top menu -> Go -> Home -> Music -> MainStage

5. Make sure your MIDI keyboard is connected to the computer/laptop.

6. Double-click the "Play OP-X PRO-3" file which will launch the MainStage concert

8. Play some notes on your keyboard which should produce a warm strings sound (the default preset of OP-X PRO-3).

If you don't hear anything then goto top menu -> MainStage -> Preferences -> Audio and here set the "Audio Output" to the correct device (speaker or headphones)

9. To open the interface of OP-X PRO-3 click the blue "OP-X PRO-3" rectangle in the "Inst 1" channel on the right

10. To change the interface size click the icon at the top left, click the big interface, and then close and re-open the interface

Once you quit MainStage you just can open it again by clicking the MainStage icon in the dock which automatically should open the last used concert.

Done!

Once you get to know MainStage better you then of course can create also more complex setups, also including other plugins, and save these setups as new concert files.
